The European Union hosted SFG at its headquarters in Brussels to discuss perspectives on water and peace as well as terrorism.

The Development Cooperation Directorate of the European Commission hosted a public presentation of the Water Cooperation Quotient attended by cross-sections of the EU decision makers and civil society representatives.

Green Diplomacy Network of the European Union had organised a seminar on water security for foreign ministry officials of the member countries. The Foreign Ministry of Slovenia presented the Global High Level Panel on Water and Peace report followed by discussion with the Slovenian government and SFG representatives. SFG presented the strong correlation between water and peace underlying the High Level Panel recommendations as well as the Water Cooperation Quotient.

Graham Watson, Member of the European Economic and Social Council and former Leader of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats in the European Parliament hosted a number of interactions between Members of European Parliament and SFG. The discussions spanned a wide range of issues from the impact of Brexit to environmental crisis and terrorism.

The top leadership of the Office of Counter-terrorism Coordinator of the Council of Europe received SFG for a closed door deliberations on emerging trends in terrorism including the revival of Al Qaeda under new leadership and the future of ISIS.

SFG also interacted with representatives of academic institutions from Belgium and the Netherlands during the visit.
